Christmas 2013 in the Cotswolds
know it Christmas will be here again! So if you're looking at spending
Christmas away from home in warm, cosy and friendly surroundings
you're in the right place!
Why not begin your break today and relax before the festivities
start tomorrow. Arrive for afternoon tea and scones, a delicious
three course dinner is included this evening.
Eve, Tuesday 24th December
Today should be a day of complete relaxation. If you just need to
potter and find that last minute Christmas present then why not
visit some of the individual shops in Burford or Cirencester. If
you are feeling more energetic we have a great selection of walks
with routes and maps anything from 3 – 10 miles, we will fill your
flask and can recommend a pub on route! If you are arriving today
afternoon tea and homemade cake will be available in the lounges,
snuggle up by the fire and relax. The Christmas festivities will
begin with champagne and canapés, join fellow guests in the
lounge where a group of local choristers will entertain with some
Christmas carols. Dinner tonight is light and seasonal using great
local produce. After dinner relax by the fire, we will have detrails
of Midnight Mass if you wish to attend.
Day, Wednesday 25th December
Start the day with a great breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, yoghurts,
pastries and much more, but leave space for lunch! Today you may
wish to attend one of the local church services in Mickleton or
Chipping Campden. Keep an eye out for Father Christmas though, laden
with presents for all! Christmas Day Lunch will of course be the
focus of the day, our chefs will be playing their part as they roast
local Clopton Farm Bronze Turkey and prime ribs of Herefordshire
Beef. Christmas crackers, poppers and hats will truly make it a
festive occasion! Recouperate in a comfy chair and rest before we
tempt you with tea and Christmas Cake. At 5.30 pm we will hold our
traditional Christmas quiz with prizes, of course. By early evening
you may be a a little peckish! There will be a buffet supper including
Dressed Salmon, Game Pie and Glazed Gammon. Tony Smith, our table
magician will be here to mistify you.
Thursday 26th December
No need to get up too early today we will be serving a delicious
brunch to through to 11 am. Late morning we have arranged a coach
to Winchcombe to enjoy a round trip on the Gloucestershire Steam
railway afterwards returning to Broadway where you can stroll the
picturesque High Street and enjoy a pint or a cup of tea, returning
to the hotel mid afternoon for a delicious Mickleton Cream Tea.
Dinner this evening has a Cotswold theme, Bibury Trout, Simon Weaver’s
Cheese and a buffet of traditional puddings from the Pudding Club
recipe book! It has now become tradition that on Boxing day we like
a little flutter so we have arranged for Black Jack and Roulette
tables in the lounge.
Full English breakfast will be served in the restaurant.
If you would
like to extend your stay by a night or two, take advantage of our
special extra night rates which include dinner.

guest and include meals, accommodation, entertainment as outlined,
and VAT @20%.
We ask for a
£100 deposit per guest at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
Full payment is then required by 1st November 2013. In the unfortunate
event of cancellation, deposits and pre-payments are non-refundable
unless we are able to re let the room. We recommend that you take
out Holiday Insurance.
