Join
us to celebrate Christmas for a four night short break at Linthwaite
House Hotel, overlooking Lake Windermere, in the heart of the English
Lake District commencing on Christmas Eve. Enjoy Christmas Carols,
a cruise on Lake Windermere, fun casino and traditional Christmas
Lunch with all the trimmings.
Friday 23rd
December
Arrive at Linthwaite to a roaring log fire and homemade mulled wine.
Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, join us for a classic afternoon tea.
From 6.30pm to 9.00pm dine in our award winning restaurant, then
relax until we are joined by local Bell Ringers at 9.30pm.
Saturday
24th December, Christmas Eve
Our traditional English breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.30am.
After breakfast you have a chance to explore the exquisite beauty
of the Lake District at leisure, maybe do that last minute shopping!
Between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, we will be serving something sweet like
tea and muffins, scotch pancakes etc… it is Christmas after all.
At 6.30pm, join us in the lounge, conservatory or bar for a glass
or two of Louis Roederer and canapés, followed by dinner at 7.00pm.
Relax after dinner with drinks, and the beautiful sound of Christmas
Carols by Lakeland Singers at 9.30pm. If you’re heading out to midnight
mass (details provided in your pack) let us know and we will prepare
hot refreshments for your return!
Sunday 25th
December, Christmas Day
Enjoy breakfast between 9.00am and 11.00am - Has Santa been? We
will be serving a traditional Christmas lunch between 1.30pm and
3.30pm, complete with all the seasonal trimmings. There is then
time for you to enjoy the rest of your Christmas Day. Maybe grab
some fresh air and walk off your lunch, or just relax and chat over
a board game or jigsaw puzzle. We also have a huge selection of
DVD’s you’re welcome to watch. Between 7.30pm and 9.30pm we will
serve a buffet - in case you’re feeling peckish!
Monday 26th
December, Boxing Day
Start the day with breakfast, served between 8.00am and 10.30am,
before venturing into Bowness to take a complimentary cruise on
Lake Windermere. Alternatively, feel free to take some time to explore
the Lakes further, then join us between 2.30pm and 4.30pm for a
light afternoon tea. Later at 6.30pm, enjoy a Kir with your pre
dinner canapés before dining at 7.30pm. After dinner, a fun casino
and gambling evening, (Don’t worry, we provide the money! Not real
I’m afraid, but the prizes for the biggest gamblers are!)
Tuesday 27th
December
Between 8.00am and 11.00am, following a wonderful hearty breakfast
it will unfortunately be time to say ‘au revoir’ until next year…

initial deposit of £500.00. Full pre-payment is required by 31st
October. In the event of cancellation we will refund your deposit
if cancellation is made prior to 31st October. If cancellation is
made after 31st October: We will refund the amount we are able to
re-sell your stay for, (we may have to discount the stay in order
to sell it). In the event we are unable to re-sell your stay then
your payment will become non-refundable.

of the Lake District at leisure. Arrive back to a simple afternoon
tea, served between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. At 6.30pm, join us in the
lounge, conservatory or bar for a glass or two of Louis Roederer
with your canapés, followed by a black tie gourmet dinner at 7.30pm.
From 10.00pm we will have live music in the Mirror Room, where you
can dance until 1.00am. If youre feeling peckish after all the excitement,
bacon sandwiches at 12.30pm should do the trick.
Sunday 1st
January, New Years Day
We will ease you gently into the New Year with a gourmet brunch
between 9.00am and 11.30am, but try not to break your New Year resolutions!
There is then time for you to venture into Bowness and take a complimentary
cruise on Lake Windermere, or alternatively, just enjoy the Lakes
at your own leisure. Full afternoon tea will be served from 2.30pm
until 4.00pm, followed by dinner in the evening between 6.30pm and
9.00pm.
