Three night Christmas Break 2008

Christmas – Enjoy three days at Calcot Manor indulging in the pleasures of our restaurants, spa and relaxing in a homely atmosphere.

Christmas Eve
Christmas begins on Wednesday 24th December when our guests arrive from around the country. We will be serving Christmas cake, mince pies and scones in front of roaring log fires giving you the chance to meet other guests. You may also like to use the afternoon to visit Calcot Spa – an opportunity to be thoroughly pampered before the festivities begin. Guests are invited to a Champagne reception before a leisurely dinner. A string quartet will play during dinner and local choristers will visit later in the evening.

Christmas Day
Christmas Day begins with a Champagne breakfast either in the comfort of your bedroom or in The Conservatory Restaurant. For those wishing to attend Christmas Morning Service, there are several small churches in the Parishes of Tetbury, Kingscote and Beverstone. Christmas lunch is served in The Conservatory Restaurant. Christmas afternoon is rarely active but for those feeling energetic we can recommend a walk to revive your appetite for the evening’s light supper. On Christmas Day Evening, we will serve a relaxed candle-lit supper for house guests only in The Gumstool Inn.

Boxing Day
There is as much (or as little!) to do as you like on Boxing Day. The Arboretum at Westonbirt and Sir Peter Scott’s Wildfowl Trust at Slimbridge are both a short distance from the hotel. Tickets to the Bath pantomime will be available for the afternoon at an additional charge – please ask for details. For the less energetic, perhaps you might like to be pampered in the spa or stay in the hotel and curl up in front of the fire with a good book! The festivities come to an end at this evening’s Black Tie Farewell Dinner. (Lunch will be served in The Gumstool Inn and The Conservatory Restaurant on Boxing Day but this is not included in the price of the break. Guests are advised to reserve a table in advance).

Calcot Spa
The Spa is an oasis of relaxation and tranquility offering a 16m indoor swimming pool, state of the art gymnasium, Sauna, outdoor hot tub, steam room and beauty treatment rooms. The Spa will be open from 9am until 6pm on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day, and from 10am until 1pm on Christmas Day. Children’s swimming times will be 3.45pm until 5.15pm on Christmas Eve and NewYears Eve; 10am until 11.30am on Christmas Day and 9am until 10.30am, and 3.45pm until 5.15pm on Boxing Day and New Years Day. Please call the Spa directly on 01666 891232 to check treatment availability, as it is essential to prebook, prior to arrival, to avoid disappointment.

For the children
Located in a converted barn in the courtyard at the front of the hotel, The Playzone caters for children from newborn to 16 years old. It is packed with toys and games with qualified nannies on hand to entertain your children whilst you relax elsewhere in the grounds. The Mez – a mezzanine floor incorporating a cinema and studio equipped with Wiis, PlayStations, XBox 360s and computers is ‘the’place to be for older children. This area is unsupervised so is only suitable for children over 8 years. (Please note that it is essential to pre-book children into The Playzone to avoid disappointment).

Christmas Tariff 2008

These prices are based on double occupancy for the Christmas Programme, arriving on December 24th and departing after breakfast on December 27th. They include three nights’ accommodation, full English breakfast each morning, dinner (as described above), lunch on Christmas Day, service and VAT.

All of our bedrooms have private bathroom, direct dial telephone, radio and remote controlled satellite colour television. They are all individually decorated and furnished to provide every comfort.

Family Accommodation: We have 1 Deluxe Family Suite, 2 Large Family Suites, 5 Family Suites and 5 Family Rooms. They all have double or twin beds with additional beds (some have bunk beds) or cots.

Children’s supplements
Newborn to 10 years – £210.00 per person. 11 – 15 years – £240.00 per person. 16 – 18 years – £270.00 per person. Children’s supplements are also for three nights and include breakfast, High Tea, use of The Playzone and lunch on Christmas Day.

Additional Nights
Dinner, Bed & Breakfast – £160.00 per person (children’s supplements apply)

Booking Conditions
A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 per room is required at time of booking, with a further £400.00 deposit by 1st September. The balance is due by 1st November. In the event of cancellation of a reservation, we reserve the right to charge in full if the cancelled room remains unsold.We reserve the right to change the Christmas Programme and recommend you take out cancellation insurance.

New Year 2008/09
A relaxed house party with fine food, Champagne, excellent wines and asmuch dancing as you like.

Tuesday 30th December
Guests arriving throughout the day will be welcomed with afternoon tea served in front of crackling log fires. You may also like to use the afternoon to visit Calcot Spa – an opportunity to be thoroughly pampered before the party begins. Dinner will be a relaxed affair served in The Conservatory Restaurant allowing guests to unwind before the celebrations tomorrow.

New Year’s Eve
The party begins with a Champagne and canapé reception before a 6-course Black Tie Dinner. After dinner, guests will be entertained by live music and as much (or as little!) dancing as you like. The midnight hour will be marked in the traditional style – Champagne and a little ‘Auld Lyne Syne’. Entertainment and dancing will go on until the early hours.

New Year’s Day
A leisurely breakfast can be followed by exploring the Cotswold countryside to blow away the cobwebs from the night before! For the less energetic, why not be pampered in Calcot Spa or stay in the hotel and curl up in front of the fire with a good book? Dinner will be served in The Conservatory Restaurant.

They include three nights’ accommodation, full English breakfast each morning, the Gala Dinner on NewYear’s Eve and dinner in The Conservatory Restaurant on the other two evenings. They also include use of the facilities in Calcot Spa, early morning tea/coffee, a daily newspaper, insurance, service and VAT.
