Wales Tourist Board/Visit Wales - Gold Award 2007/8
Situated
in the traditional seaside resort of Llandudno on the north Wales
coast, the St Tudno Hotel & Restaurant enjoys a prime position
opposite the Victorian pier, gardens and beach. Over the years,
the St Tudno has gained a reputation as one of the country's most
luxurious seaside hotels, winning a host of awards including
two AA Rosettes for its excellent cuisine. The welcoming public
rooms, with lovely seaviews, have an air of Victorian charm, while
the nineteen bedrooms and suites, individually designed with colour-cordinated
fabrics and furnishings, provide comfortable accommodation. Some
bedrooms have sea views and/or a spa bath.
The
award-winning Terrace Restaurant, one of the finest in Wales,
serves modern British cooking with 'classic sauces and intense
flavours' accompanied by an excellent wine list. The well-trained
staff are friendly and helpful. A lovely heated indoor pool
and 'secret garden' adds to the hotel's many attractions.
Children
are very welcome, with ideal family accommodation provided by
the 'Alice Suite', named after Lewis Carrol's Alice, who stayed
here with her family in 1861 when she was 8 years old.
The
hotel is ideally located for discovering the coastline, castles
and countryside of North Wales. The many attractions within easy
reach include the famous gardens at Bodnant and the National Park
of Snowdonia.
