With white-framed windows and wrought-iron balconies, the 300 year old building enjoys a prominent position on the market place. Inside, the Swan Bar with walls covered in prints, paintings and photographs depicting the history of The Swan Hotel and Southwold, provides a pleasant setting for drinks and delicious bar meals at lunchtime, while the gracious Drawing Room furnished with cosy chairs is perfect for afternoon tea or after-dinner coffee and liqueurs. The award-winning Dining Room offers a daily changing menu featuring the finest local produce including freshly-caught fish. Twenty-six individually designed bedrooms are housed in the main hotel, including a luxurious suite with a four-poster bed and another bedroom offering a view of the sea,while further bedrooms are located around the old bowling green. Outside, a small garden provides a peaceful sitting area surrounded by colourful plants. Rates above are per person per night and are inclusive of early morning tea, full English breakfast, newspaper of your choice and VAT. Superior Rooms and Suites also include mineral water, local handmade soaps/toiletries, fresh flowers and evening turndown service. Garden rooms are to the rear of the hotel overlooking the old bowling green with the lighthouse in the background. The Short Break rate, subject to availability, minimum of two nights and available Sunday to Thursday, excluding July and August, is inclusive as above with dinner to the value of £35 per person per night Prices are per person per night based on two guests sharing a room. Double/Twin for single occupancy - £35 supplement per night. Midweek - Sunday to Thursday inclusive, Weekend - Friday and Saturday. Rates are not applicable on tailored packages eg Switch-On, Christmas, New Year, etc. Two night minimum stay requirement when booking a Saturday night - Three night minimum stay requirement over Bank Holidays. To avoid disappointment we recommend booking early for our 2AA rosette restaurant High Teas are available and children over five are also welcome in the restaurant. Hotel rooms are non smoking. Dogs, £5 per night which includes a dog bowl, blanket and treat, are welcome in the garden rooms.
