Manor Country House Hotel is set in wooded grounds on the edge of
the Lake District and offers a warm and friendly welcome with log
fires in winter, good views and well-appointed accommodation. The
hotel is perfectly placed for exploring the unspoilt Eden Valley
and the North Pennines and is also within driving distance of the
Lake District. It was originally built as a private country house
in 1877 with many fine architectural features and carefully sited
to take advantage of the magnificent views of Appleby Castle and
the Eden Valley.
Guests
will enjoy award-winning cuisine in the Oak Room Restaurant (1 AA
Rosette) complemented by a wide range of fine wines and malt whiskies.
Each of the thirty bedrooms is individually designed, ranging from
double rooms to four-poster rooms and a spacious suite with Jacuzzi
bath and drench shower.
Families
are welcome with special facilities for children including family
rooms and a baby-listening service. Guests may also use the leisure
facilities which include a small indoor pool, sauna, steam room
and Jacuzzi.
