location in Studland in Dorset The Manor House Hotel, a beautiful 18th century building in Studland village in Dorset, combines old-fashioned charm and service with modern comforts and facilities. Privately run, this National Trust property lies within 20 acres of gardens and offers the most wonderful sea views across the famous Studland Bay and towards Old Harry Rocks. The public rooms include an oak panelled dining room and comfortable sitting room with open fire, a light and spacious conservatory and a separate bar lounge. A superb four-course dinner is included within the room rate, with a daily-changing table d’hote menu featuring fresh local produce, including vegetarian options and locally caught fish. Each of the 21 bedrooms is stylishly decorated, some with four-poster beds and sea views of Studland Bay. All bedrooms and suites have colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial phone and hair dryer. Many rooms have wonderful sea views, the remainder have a pleasant country or garden outlook. All differ in size and character, and most of the second floor rooms have some sloping eaves. Children over five are very welcome and high teas are provided. The Manor House Hotel is surrounded by private grounds, with footpaths to the sea and one of Dorset's most beautiful beaches. Situated in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck near to Corfe Castle, the hotel provides a relaxing place to do exactly as you please. There are riding stables nearby and a golf course or you can even experience a ride in the hotel's own Sunseeker powerboat. The Hotel also has two full size all-weather tennis courts and tennis rackets and balls can be provided. A host of wonderful places to visit include: Isle of Purbeck, Jurassic Coast, Corfe Castle, Brownsea Island, Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Kingston Lacy, Studland Bay, Shell Bay and Old Harry Rocks. Rates: All rates are per person based on double occupancy and include accommodation, full English breakfast, 4 course dinner with coffee and VAT. Children : Minimum age 5 years, children sharing 5-10 years with 2 adults are charged £45 each per night which includes high tea or dinner and full English breakfast. Children sharing 11-15 years with 2 adults are charged half the adult rate including high-tea or dinner and full English breakfast. A child sharing a room with only one adult will be charged at the normal adult rate. Children over 16 years are classed as an adult. Dogs : Well behaved dogs can be accommodated at the proprietor's discretion. Please advise when booking. Dogs are not permitted in the lounge, bar or restaurant. A charge of £5.00 per night will be made - any extra cleaning or laundry will be charged accordingly. Please bring your own dog bed or blanket. Food not supplied.
